Lexie B1 Powered by Bose
The Lexie B1 by Bose is powered for mild to moderate hearing loss and designed. Through an accompanying app, this Bluetooth device enables users to change the volume, bass, and treble. Lightweight and comfortable, it features clear, natural sound with noise reduction.
Its greatest strengths include Bluetooth streaming for calls and music, though the app is buggy at times.
Price: $199
Pros:
· Clear sound with noise reduction
· Lightweight and comfortable design
· Bluetooth streaming capability
· Great value for its features
Cons:
· Battery lasts up to 40 hours, which is limited
· App issues reported by some users
What We Like:
With its Bose-powered technology, the Lexie B1 offers impressive value for tech-savvy users seeking a feature-packed device without breaking the bank.
User Reviews:
Positive: "Almost two weeks have passed since my Lexie B1 aids arrived and I could not be happier. They're not uncomfortable at all, and I can hear! I am 68, and worked in a very noisy environment during my state trooper firearms instructor and siren above my head career. Sounds that I have not perceived in years are clear to me now…the turn indicator actually makes a blinking sound, the toaster actually dings when done, and my slippers are really noisy on linoleum floors. Ha. I have not had to utter HUH very much at all lately …had to ask the wife not to talk to me so loud, and I can hear and UNDERSTAND the dialogue on TV without closed captions." - MountainJim
Negative: "I had a problem as aids quit working. Impossible to reach seller via text, email or phone. Finally reached by phone, no help. They wanted me to fix by changing wires, etc. They never responded after this no matter how I tried to reach them." - Janet Marvin
Britzgo BHA-220 Digital Hearing Amplifier
The Britzgo BHA-220 is a budget-friendly hearing amplifier available on Amazon. It's designed for mild to moderate hearing loss and features a behind-the-ear design with adjustable ear tips for comfortable wear. While it's not a true hearing aid—it amplifies all sounds rather than targeting specific frequencies—it’s a popular choice for those on a tight budget.
Amazon hearing aids like this model are easy to use, with a volume control dial that is simple to adjust. It takes standard hearing aid batteries, which are easily replaced. Its light weight makes it discreet and comfortable for wear throughout the day. It struggles in environments with a lot of background noise, though.
Price: $59
Pros:
· Extremely affordable.
· Simple to use with volume control.
· Lightweight and discreet.
Cons:
· Not a true hearing aid (amplifies all sounds).
· Struggles with clarity in noisy environments.
What We Like:
It’s a good option for those on a tight budget who need basic sound amplification.
User Reviews:
Positive: “For the price, the Britzgo BHA-220 is a great little device. It’s easy to use, and the volume control is straightforward. It functions great for watching TV, which is what I use it for most of the time at home. It's comfy and lightweight, and I like how reasonably priced it is.”
Negative: “Everything is amplified by this device, which can be deafening in noisy settings. Background noise makes it difficult to concentrate during chats. Although it's not as clear as I had hoped, the sound quality is passable. For simple purposes, it works well, but don't anticipate much.”

Chosgo Hearing Aids: A Premium Alternative
For comparison, we tested Chosgo Hearing’s prescription-grade RIC hearing aid. Designed for mild to severe hearing loss, it features AI-driven noise reduction, Bluetooth streaming, and a 24-hour rechargeable battery, offering unmatched performance and support.
How Did Amazon Devices Stack Up?
Comfort and Usability:
Amazon hearing aids are lightweight and comfortable, but they lack the ergonomic finesse of Chosgo’s RIC. While models like the Lexie B1 excel, budget options like Britzgo feel bulkier.
Performance in Noisy Environments:
Most Amazon devices struggle with background noise, even higher-end models. Chosgo’s AI-driven noise filtering significantly outshines them.
What Experts Say About Buying Amazon Hearing Aids
Let’s see what professionals have to say about buying Amazon hearing aids. Dr. Clif through his YouTube channel raised concerned about the quality and authenticity of the Amazon hearing aids. “A simple Amazon search for OTC hearing aids currently yields 187 search results while a search for hearing aids will get you over 1 000 search results while the these results might seem reasonable the vast majority of devices in these search results are not hearing aids at all in a recent article published by consumer affairs they reported that a multitude of hearing products for sale on Amazon were using deceptive sales tactics essentially calling their products hearing aids or OTC hearing aids without actually meeting the FDA's criteria to do so in addition to this despite Amazon's best attempts they also had a huge problem with counterfeit products meaning that you could think that you are buying a legitimate hearing aid only to get a cheap knockoff instead in my opinion,” he said.
Conclusion
Amazon hearing aids provide affordable, accessible solutions for mild to moderate hearing loss. Models like the Lexie B1 and Eargo Neo HiFi stand out but can’t match the personalized features and advanced technology of Chosgo Hearing Aids.
For budget-conscious users, Amazon is a good starting point. However, for premium sound and tailored support, Chosgo remains the gold standard.
